The Pahiatua Railcar Society was formed in 1991 and comprises of a group of volunteers dedicated to keeping New Zealand’s railcar history alive

We are based at the Pahiatua Railway Station, Pahiatua, New Zealand

We are the proud custodians of former New Zealand Railways railcars that once operated throughout the North Island in regular service

Our railcars are lovingly restored, maintained and operated by a group of dedicated volunteers

We are privileged to be able to offer main line charters and excursions using our Standard Railcar throughout New Zealand
